Thread: FS: 2.7 7R case

    FS: 2.7 7R case

I just had my numbers matching case built up for my car. This case came with the car and I no longer need it. My tech book says that 911/83 cases are for '73 2.7s, might have been an RS case! The cylinder lands appear to be very much "un-hammered", thankfully. Some prior person of questionable motives has ground off the case number, unfortunately. If anyone wants more pictures, please ask, thanks! $3000. shipped in the CONUS.

You mentioned someone previously had ground off the engine number, I too have an engine treated in the same way by a PO. Would the numbers on the case halves 0612 in your photos be the last four digits of the engine number ?

    Dad -
I have been told that those numbers are arbitrary case matching numbers. If anyone else can correct me here, please do!

Thanks for that info, that is a pity as I have liked to know what engine I have.

Dad - All I know for certain is that, when trolling through the 911 Technical Specifications Booklets, I found the 911/83 engine type in 1973, shown as a 2.7.
