Question concerning Terminal block on electrical panel

    Hi,
I'm just working on the electrical panel (SWB 911, MJ68) and have the following questions:
    1. Do I have identified the right terminal block in the wiring diagram?
    2. Do this terminal block connect the two red/white cables with the black one?

    3. If so, is my terminal block incomplete?
When you look on the front and the backside of this block, there is no electrical connection between the two terminals! How should this block establish the connections between the three wires?

Thanks in advance for your feedbacks!
    Stefan

    Hi Stefan

Yes, that's the block from the diagram.
No, they are not supposed to be connected. There is supposed to be a piece of paper, a rectangle, inset into the plastic there, so the screws don't accidentally short against the electrical console.

Yes, red/white from alternator B+ and the black wire from the chassis, also red to ballast resistor relay 30 (power)

If you break the fin (most are broken) this part is freely available on Mercedes (including R107) but will have a philips head screw, you want slotted.

    Good luck!

    Thanks for your quick feedback!
What is the original purpose of this terminal block?
    Which cables do he connect?

Stefan, all three conductors (red/white B+, black to harness, red to 30) go on a single terminal. the other is unused.

it looks like somebody cut the red wire to 30-- be sure to insulate that so it does not short against something and start a fire.

so the diagram has a mistake => red cable instead of red/white from the terminal block to terminal 30 of the resistor relay
