    1969 Bumper Removal

I have loosened all the bolts except one lower 12 pt which was stripped. I think I can get it out, but a problem is that the bolt centerline is at or near the bottom of the access hole in the trunk panel. This make inserting any tool, or drill at a slight angle(could be what stripped it). Before enlarging the hole and getting a larger plug, is it possible to realign those bolt holes higher once the bumper is removed? Hate to modify a clean, original body if I don't have to. All 4 are lower than they should be for good tool access.

    Thanks

Can't you remove the four 8mm bolts on the side and remove brackets and bumper together,,,,,or am I missing something here?

Yes, just discovered this after getting the stripped triple square bolt removed. Those 4 bolts behind the plastic plugs are for the overridders. Those can stay on the bumper and would be easier to remove once the bumper is removed. So bumper is off and ready to remove a many years old dent up At the deco trim.
    Thanks
