1970 911 front carpet mat options??

I am looking for floor mats to cover the original factory carpeting and am only finding mats with holes/grommets as used on the later 911s, or the current version of CoCo mats that have a rubber underside and therefore an overall thickness more than I want. Has anyone found a supplier/style that they would recommend? Thank you.

If you go for period look, only Cocomat are correct, although back then Sisal mats were also a factory option.
Nothing else was available and even today's Cocomats have a rubber backing, they look great and are very well fabricated. The rubber back prevents they are gliding, of what the original ones did.

Whatever else you choose is up to you but never will be period correct.

What also people forget is that Porsche never wanted their name been stepped on by shoes with the heels, hence the Porsche name is always sideways near Rocker panel, never heel area. Even today.
First thing also to spot an aftermarket item.

Seems like there existed 2 mat designs back then. The one on the first cataloque page has holes for the pedals the other one (as the ones supplied now from e.g. cocomats.com) has the tongue end just before the pedals.
Does anyone know a source for the one's going all around the pedals? I am looking for a style just like this:Name: 7391004394_3bb90f57b7_o.jpg

Nobody makes repro according to the earlier style w pedall cut-outs.
Cocomats are the only one being close and in good quality.
You do can supply a template to Cocomats and they do it, for a special price.

Otherwise, you need to find period used ones (i beleive as seeing above) which is not easy. to find.

Cocomats should already have the template for around the pedals just ask, they also have the center piece that goes around the shifter.

They do have it. This is an old photo of my car, taken just after I bought it; things look a little tidier in there now. A set of Cocomats was the first non-mechanical purchase I made. I didn't opt for the mat around the shifter.
