I think I have one. I will look tomorrow. What are you looking to pay for one?

    Thanks,

Sound like at least a hundred bucks to me!

Don't get too crazy Mark, Frank's STUPID money means he really needs it and is willing to pay the retail price for this item. (I'm not sure that he's paid STUPID money for too many Porsche parts)
Porsche taste on a Volkswagen budget...

Oh, I have absolutely paid stupid money for things. One time I paid tens of dollars for a pair of 911R wheels.

    Mark,
Let's pull the curtain. I won't waste your time. I need it; you hopefully have it.
There will be some party crashers who will try to romance you behind the scenes but don't give in. They're bad dates who will just lie to you.

Bonus: I'll throw in one month's free usage of my prized Vasek Polak hemorrhoid donut to sweeten the deal.

Geez I'd pony up 10 starters for that privilege

Crap. Like a blue tick hound on a rabbit trail I dug through 10 starter motors but none came close. All of mine are the 0 001 212 005 or 002 variety. What year model did that starter motor fit Frank?

    Starter fits a 65 911.

So far batting zero. Some other trappers have offered me what I suspect are 924 starters. You hoarders should hang onto those: In 10-20 years they could be worth $5.

Super duper easy to ID the one I need besides the number:

The nose separates from the motor assembly. Held in place by 2 dowel pins.

    Thanks again.
