    Ventilating air blower

The only reference in my Factory Workshop Manual to the blower motor is a section entitled: Subsequent Installation of Ventilating Air Blower and speaks about this feature being available by way of a kit.

Were blowers an option/dealer install item, meaning not all cars had one?

Fresh air blowers were standard on 69 and up cars. What years is your manual for?

Thanks Ed. Here's the page from the manual:

This would suggest the air blower is located in the smuggler's box. I thought that's where Webasto heaters were located?

Here's a picture of my car. Where is the blower located?

My car has a couple of disconnected wires. Any idea what these are for? One is blue.

Fresh air blower is big round housing in the center. On SWB you could have webasto or blower,,, not both.

Thanks Ed. Much appreciated. Any thoughts on what that loose blue wire should be connected to?

Thanks again Ed. Does that mean this car had a Webasto at some point?
