    67S radio question

Maybe someone can help with this radio question:

the Kardex of my Italian delivered 67S coupe does not list a radio, antenna or speaker.

    1. If not listed in the Kardex, the car was not delivered with radio, antenna or speaker from the factory- correct?

    2. If so, was there a radio delete plate installed or simply basket weave fabric over that part of the dash?

    Thanks in advance!!

Yes no radio. Dash fabric just continued over that area.
There was never a plate, a thing seen only at the 356.

My 67 Normal came with a radio delete plate...may not apply to the S as the 67N came with brushed aluminum dash fascia but certainly not just a 356 item.

Pretty sure you are right, brushed aluminum dashes had the radio delete plate, when the dashes went to the basket weave material that material just continued over the radio opening. Anyone else?

Thx, I think thats correct and didnt thought on the 67 dashboard.
    Would apply also for 912.

Since the op wrote about basket weave, for me it was a LWB issue.

my 67S was sold without a radio but had provisions with antenna.

it is my guess it was sold new in germany to an american who planned to bring it to the usa.
The car was also equipped with the hazard light switch which i beleive was required in usa.

Since proper antenna install involves removing the door they were usually installed radio or not.
