    1969T gas tank options?

I am now restoring the front trunk area in my 69T "hotrod".

I have a full size spare 15x6 deep 6 on Avon tire for the front trunk and would like to have a gas tank that allows fitment.

Would the plastic RS tank allow me to still fit the full size spare?

Any suggestions for tank options would be much appreciated.

The RS tank requires a collapsible spare, as does the SC tank. You need either the stock 62 liter tank or the 100 liter one.

The 62 only came in steel, the 100 at one time came in plastic, made by BASF. I have one of those, but has bottom leaks, more often the 100 liter ones were steel.

To the best of my knowledge the plastic was 67-68 time frame, steel came after that.
