    SWB tail light assemblies

Taken from my 67 911S. A pair of excellent condition, original factory rear tail light units for short wheel base 911s or 912s. Includes light sockets, light bulbs and grey gasket. A few light sockets were with factory new ones. The gaskets are in very good to excellent condition - I would simply remove them, clean and condition, then re-install. No need for new ones.

The reason I am selling these is a bit complicated, bottom line - I have decided to go with the "R" style lights on my outlaw build.

$1,110.00 for the pair, plus shipping and paypal fees.

    Thanks for looking!

Hate to be the one to break it to you, but are you sure those are original lenses? Originals had red across the top of the clear portion of the lenses. See the thread below, those appear to be Marek's first attempt at reproducing them, you can see his pictures in the first post, then you can see in post 29 where he introduced his corrected version with the proper red line:

these lenses are NOS I purchased from Aase. the repros have the clear top and bottom portion in red. These is another original set for sale at Aase for over $1400. Repro lenses are $70. each. I guess I can buy the repro ones with the red stripe and replace the much more expensive NOS lenses.

Call Aase for info - they have both

Hello all. I am sure that Aase did not mis-represent any item that I have purchased from them. They have been very good on everything that I have purchased.

Please take a look at Canepa's current inventory. They are listing a 1967 911S, which has identical tail lights lenses as the ones that I have for sale. (http://canepa.com/photo-gallery/1967-porsche-911-s4624/)

    Thanks again for looking,
    Mark

Lamps in the linked pictures are the European version that were different from the US version in the flasher color (orange than red) and in the particularity perfectly described above by 68912.
I can tell you more. The European version was a clear lens painted in the orange and red sectors. The US DOT has never allowed painted lamps, even in the 60s. So the US red original version was made of colored red plastic injected in the production mold with the clear plastic for the reversing lens. What's why of the red rim around the clear lens, the original lens was not red painted but made of colored paste plastics.

At last, but not least, Bosch and Porsche have never sold those lenses apart from the bodies. Only complete assembly lights with pin lenses melted and lens glued to the body with silicone.
Those lenses are not only a reproduction, but definitely fake Bosch lenses mounted on original bodies. Sorry.
