    Exclamation

Maybe they interpreted on COA/Kardex "option 473 spoiler" for a 1973 911T as a ducktail, while it was meant as a front spoiler.

For 1973, front spoiler was again optional on 911T, standard on 911E and 911S.
(In 1972, front spoiler was standard on all models.)
"Duck tail" not available on any 1973 911T/E/S except 911RS.

If ducktail is on car make shure its not an aftermarket, also, for handling it also makes sense only if it has a front spoiler..

Here is proof of 1973 911T with (front) spoiler.

    Option spoiler 473.

The people doing COA do many faults, very common. They interprete old kardex documents from Germany and have unfortunately little knowledge how those options were in detail on those cars.

If they see "spoiler" written, they think, interprete and write "rear spoiler", as today used on contemporary cars but also option on any SC/3.2l Carrera's.

They dont know back then for 1973 early's, it could also be the front one...There was no option for a "rear spoiler" -ever - because ducktail was standard on any limited number RS.

There was -however- an option 473 for a "spoiler", available for the 1973 911T only.
The 1973 911E and S both had them as standard.

Im positive the COA is wrong as many COA before, your 911T had option 473, ie (front ) spoiler. One year only option for a 1973 911T.

If the ducktail is still on the car, there are telltales to know if factory ducktail or aftermarket.
    You might post pics.
