    Dome light repairable?

I was hoping I could find a small strip of copper to fix the missing copper spring on the end of the dome light but as yet the places I have been don't have anything that can be shaped into a spring.
Any thoughts on what might work?

You can purchase a new light from stoddards for $37 and use the entire fixture or just the part you need
