    Circle floorpan pressings

Hi guys please take a look at the 2 photos you will see the circle pressings are not present on the inside near the tunnel but
but it is on the other , Can anyone tell if the extra pressing we all see out there are new floors . Do we know what is original and does it change through the years.

    thanks jonny

It does concern me sometimes how many times I see new floors on pre-70's 'restored' cars with these additional press-forms still in. They should be removed really.

Whilst we're talking floor detail, note also along the centre tunnel in your second picture, the 3rd square depression from the left, the one that's almost pyramid shaped. On an earlier car it's much shallower and has a form much more like the other squares. Not exactly sure when this change took place, but judging by where it is, I suspect it was something to do with gaining additional clearance for a later gearshift mech, but I'm sure someone can confirm.
