Not on UK cars in 73. One of the many little details that differ for USA vs the ROW other markets.

I agree. My UK 1973 car has the older style repa belts with the red button. My tongues are date stamped 1973 so I know they are original.

Good to see examples like posted by 71Gold. In my view seatbelts are one of those areas where it might be in danger of over simplifying the variety of what actually found and used in 911 around the world back in the day

Not aware of UK Model year 73 C16/EG market cars having the fasten seatbelt lights shown in the original picture.

There was quite a bit of variety of seatbelts used in 73 across the various geographies that go beyond the most commonly discussed Repa.

I'm reliably informed Australia had to use Australian made seatbelts to be confident of being approved/insured in that market.
British market cars for had to conform to the relevant British Standards Institute seatbelt mounting standard BS Au48 as signified on the separate aluminium plate on the front panel prominently riveted near the usual aluminium plate.

Kangol were certainly used, their static and retractables underwent product changes in that year. Some Swiss cars of early 70s reportedly had Klippan (a brand sometimes also seen in Daytonas of that era)

My pal Mike (MJHDarth) was interested in seatbelts for his 73 T prompting us to do a bit of investigating earlier this year; some of which wad already covered in this previous thread.
