    My current project 356A

I have been remiss in trying to get our Georgia E’sers together. I took over Regional duties from Bill Bausser when he retired to margaritavile. Anyhow I love to drive my car and work on it faily often. I try to get to my shop once a week to work on my current project, my 1957 356A. I have completed the floor pan installation and am currently working on minor detail like seat mounts and floor board keepers. Seats are in as of tonight. Last up is the keepers. Then I can paint it. I try to work on the car most every Tuesday night at my shop. Feel free to stop by and say hi. Bring beer 🍻. Anyhow here are some pics. This is a local Ga car that was purchased from a farm In Flowery Branch back in 1979. That was the last time it was registered. The last picture is my daughter helping me in the shop last weekend.

More pics. This car was built as an Outlaw pre 1979. It has a 69 912 motor that was installed sometime before 79. It is amazingly rust free. The only rust was on the pans and it was not that bad, but I am particular and didn’t want to patch the floors so I just did them all. The body looks like a rat rod bc the PO sanded the paint off 27 years ago and then never repainted or primered the car so it has a nice light rust patina all over it with almost zero dents. Sat in his garage for 22 years.

    Hey Mark,
First: You are a great fabricator. Your work on your cars is beyond excellent.

I believe the C&O is this Sunday on the 3rd? The Saturday is a day when I will be watching college football (the SEC Championship game). My wife and I graduated from UGA.

    You haven't seen my 991.1?

Thanks, Doc. I do enjoy metal fabricating when my arthritic body lets me have some fun. I will post some other links to work I have done. I have a killer Land Cruiser that I still have not completed. Oh and then there is the SWB 912 project, also, waiting to be finished.

    Mark,
Your daughter is probably out of college and with a new job.

Do you ever complete a project?

I've been going to Steve's event every Sunday on the first of the month.

You need to get over there with me next month (5 miles). There are lots of great old cars and interesting people.

    Last two events:

I did the Polar Bear New Year's Day mountain drive with him a few years ago.

I meet a great guy with a perfect 1966 Mercedes 250 SL last weekend.

    ---

I'd buy that old early 911 in your garage if you are no longer into the Porsche car.

The location is our way on Woodstock RD.

Steve's 'Worship event' over on 1135 Woodstock Rd Roswell, GA 30075. First Sunday every month (8am-11am).

You may need to tow one on them over there.

One guy has a car that he built himself from 23 other cars (not kidding).
