Good news -> Early camber plate available for pre 1968 cars

    Hi,

Good news for the pre-1968 car's owners willing to restaure the front suspension !!!

I had a good surprise at my local Porsche parts supplier in Belgium (www.jomaparts.com) this afternoon where I found a reproduction of the early type camber plate 910.341.018.01. It's completely new, arrived at the shop in Octobre, and I was the first one buying the parts ;-)

That part was NLA since a long time and the late type camber plate was used as replacement on a lot of cars despite it was not possible to have enough camber.
I took some measurements to compare with my original one (in very bad shape).... and it seems good.

Furnished with all the necessary hardware +/- 100$ for one.Name: 20171129_164607.jpg

We have been making these plates and bushes for about 2 years now and we also supply the bushes seperately - the bushes supplied by Porsche are Koni strut top bushes ans are incorrect.

These camber plates/bushes were used up to May 1970 when the inner wing design was changed and were used on LWB CARS UP TO THIS DATE.

The main effect of using the later plates is on caster setting which significantly impacts on the steering behaviour.

    I post photographs tomorrow.

    Hi,

Chris answer is indeed true... The camber plates are perfect reproduction http://www.jpgroupclassic.com/produc...?ID=1642400300

But the bushing aren't exactly the same as my original BOGE 1-213-0001-3339 (2 angles on the BOGE and 3 angles shape on the reproduction - check red lines on the picture).
I don't think it will change anything. Most important for me was to find back camber plates ;-)

The shape of the bush should be more of a curve as the flat on the LH photograph is caused by the rubber taking a set over time.

I am sure that small differences are relatively unimportant but the location centres the bush in the camber plate is missing from the new bush.
