    Holes on front, bottom trunk floor?

    While removing/repairing/replacing my front bumper on my 1969 912 I ran into these two little grommets in little holes under the front of the spare tire. Anyone know what they are there for?

    Thanks Zed. Grommets must be remains of the drain tubes. Not sure why a long tube is needed, but.

    So that water will go down but not up from the road, thus that shape.
