WTB: targa window glass rails. With or without glass is fine.

    Hello,

I'm looking to buy window rails for my Targa. Its the metal slider that is attached to the glass windows. The targa rails I understand are differnt from that of the coupes.

I'm okay with rails that come with glass or just by themselves.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Thanks for the note and the photos however, thats not the part I need. I need the rails that are attached to the window (squarish glass), not the quarter vents.

You won't find them anywhere but in Emeryville, Ca. SWB Targa window tracks are different than anything made in 69 and later. Look at the photo and tell me which 2 are for a SWB and which 2 are for a LWB. They may be interchangeable but not without some headache.

    Regards

    Jim
PS: I won't find anybody that needs them, either. We have a match made in Heaven.

Since I had to know which was which.....I took two early Targa windows and laid them on top of one another to highlight the differences. The one on the bottom was labeled '69 so the one on the top must be SWB.
The differences appear to be in the length and shape of the rails. Based on my observations, the ones in the top in Jim's photo must be the SWB.

BTW...I only have one of them in CT.
