    Thanks Peter.

I am a charter member of the Early 911S under a different user name but could not find my password when I went to post this today. I remember when it was a xeroxed newsletter out of PA. Great improvements over the years. I have owned this car for the past 20+ years.

    Thanks!

I found my log in info!

I am hoping to find someone interested in preserving its original condition and driving it! And perhaps giving it a little tlc - like finding original silver wiper blade arms. Could also use a new muffler for the gas heater (made of unobtainium?) Doesn't need anything else.

How did this car acquire the extra paint code decal? The 2410-L and type of label is for a burgundy red 1970 Targa. If I'm reading the data plate correctly, the VIN is 306147S?

I honestly don't know. I never really paid any attention to it. It was on the car when I bought it in the late 80s. Never checked it out and used the upper plate to determine the original color. When it was restored, simply replaced the plates that were there.
So the lower decal is not original?
    Yes on the VIN.

No, that lower decal does not belong there. Someone somewhere is probably missing it. If no-one else wants it, I would like it as a sample.

So the 2410 tag would indicate BURGUNDERROT (from 1970-1972), correct?

    Perhaps

The car WAS burgundy at some point?
