    1970 antenna repair - help

The antenna on my 1970 911 stays frozen about 5 inches from surface of fender. I can't get it to go down all the way. It seems that something may have corroded internally down at bottom of stage 3 or 4. Is there a fix for this? Is there a way to coax it to recede all the way down AND extend out all the way. Seems that the 2nd stage is also not extending. Much appreciate input from antenna experts out there!

I believe that it is. Probably need to replace.

I got lucky with heating the mast out of the car. Penetrating oil before and after. Don't hurry.

    Good luck

Used advice from xsurfer. Penetrating oil did the trick. Got it dislodged and working fine. Thanks to xsurfer and Registry!

    Now that's funny.

My radio and antenna work fine but the thru dash speaker is total garbage.

I used to get better clarity 50yrs ago talking to my friend via a couple of paper cups and a length of string.
