    floor replacement

    I have a 1969 911T.

    California car with little rust.
Media blasted the floors. They have slight pin holes in sections.
Body shop wants to replace the floors.
I feel it is same to replace them seeing as they actually decent.
There is some damage in the passenger foot well that will warrant new floor section for that area, but the rest of the flloor is not too bad IMO.

Is there anything else i can do, or just chop it out and install fresh floors?

If the rust perforations are limited to the front right and rear left areas (a bit hard to tell with the creative texture) I am not sure why you would replace entire floor - originality will be gone depending how itss done - unless there is a skill issue with being able to seamlessly fabricate/graft in new sections....

A whole can of worms will now be opened as one debates what quality of work was planned. Probably cheaper to blast out the whole floor and mig in a new one compared with butt welding in sections and straightening out the original.
