    vintage racing lap belt options?

I am restoring my 1969 as a slight hot rod.

What would be a nice lap belt to install in the car with my sport seats?

For safety please use a shoulder/lap belt, don’t compromise your health for originality.

thanks guys, although you guys are totally right, I face the same problem in my 67S, 1968 corvette and 65 FFR cobra. They are all gut busting lap belt cars.

My 1969 has no provisions for shoulder harness mount on the pillar or the slide through on the rear interior 3/4 panel.

From August, 1969 all 911’s were set up for shoulder harnesses. Depending on your ‘69 build date, it may or may not be set up already. Mine is. However, in the resto, since it will be a street car and did not originally come with shoulder harnesses, I removed the late shoulder harnesses installed by a PO and went with original ‘69 lap belts (yes, I know all about nylon UV photo-aging, grease, effect on breaking strengths, etc. Lap belts are so over-specced that the chance of breakage is still basically zero).

my car is a 02/10/1969 as per COA. (Feb build)

It came as a bare shell when i found it.
It appears it has in fact provisions for 3 point belts. So 3 points it is!

Try a 7/16" UNF bolt in each hole and you have the seat belt mounting points.
