    Rear fog light

    Anyone know when the rear fog light housing was changed from chrome to black?

    Chrome with what I call the flush lense through 73 at least. I believe the early turbos had the later black body with the redesigned lense with the shoulder step. So, might have changed with the intro of the mid year cars?

    There are a couple of different versions of
    the early lens (pattern mainly) as well as some subtle internal differences. So with the chrome case lights, I also make distinctions of what I feel is more correct for SWB and then what is more correct for LWB. For instance, your picture shows an early lens pattern, more correct for a SWB car.

    I started a thread years ago on some of the differences. Don’t know if it survived the forum hack.

    Here's a chrome one wired as a third brake light and installed so as to fill a vacant space occasioned by the installation of an aftermarket exhaust system.
