    rare seat cover inserts

    is this a 72 special insert?

    beige/tan vinyl looks original

    The somewhat haphazard way those strips are assembled makes me doubt it's factory.

    The material though is a dead ringer for the girls' skirts at the Catholic high school I went to. Ahhh, memories...

    bought the in a lot , just need the tan/beige parts. So I will disassemble them and trow the inserts in the bin.

    Wasn´t sure. There had been some strange pattern 72/73

    I'm not holding out any great hope that those are original Porsche 1972 inserts, but if they are '72 pieces there should be holes in the top of the seat back for the headrest.

    I didn't see any holes although they could easily be hidden in those photos. The holes were introduced about December 1968.
