Had a friend look at this car. Said it wasn't great with a lot of incorrect details. It was originally a Sportomatic. Has been converted to a 5spd.

If I recall correctly it looks like a car our own Don A owned the one sport seat and red and black period cloth material
    seems to spark my recall.
Not certain whom you had reviewing the vehicle but Don's cars are usually pretty spot on for the most part at least the
    important details ...Bert

It was a year ago. Car was for sale here in Texas. 99% sure it was the same car. Could be wrong, I suppose. No disrespect to Don.

YeahI just found it on Don's website Porsport , it even had the ridiculous plaid luggage in the boot when he sold it, I imagine some things could have been changed since he sold it , those driving lights definetly where changed out from the originals.
Only reason I really made mention is '68 was kind of a change over year and a lot of details changed or were transitioning
into the LWB design cues , I think it's a hell of a cute car , be damned the erroneous details ..Bert

It was just a fun 60k driver when I sold it years ago, certainly not one of my restorations. I just bought back a car I sold in '97. The changes that happen when they leave...
