Thread: Front Bumper S Trim

  1. #11
Tom, I found that when installing the front trim strip it was helpful to have a second person to stabilize the bumper. It was easiest to start the center studs and then roll the bumper on a moving blanket to insert one stud at a time. We then spun the bumper rolled it in the opposite direction and did the next stud. We kept moving from left to right side, until you reach the two end studs. Do not tighten the nylock nuts all the way as you could snap a stud. Once all the studs are seated and you have the nylocks started you tighten them in a sequence a bit at a time, that pulls the strip tight to the bumper. I did the same procedure on the rear corners, but a second person was not required. I hope this description helps, and makes sense. My trim was all from SM. Cheers Steve
