Porsche do not use Moll Batteries any more, since 2016 at least, the supplier is now Banner Batteries.
If I recall correctly, the brand used in 1973 was Varta, don't know when Moll became the supplier.
I think MB also continue to use Varta.

While on the subject of Porsche supplied batteries I have to vent.
Couple of years back I bought 3 Porsche classic 6v batteries from one of our esteened suppliers - one to be fitted to my Speedster. We fitted the battery and went on to win a notable concours in NZ. On the tow truck on the way back the car was inclined on the back of the tow truck. The seam on top of the battery was defective and battery acid leaked into the battery box and then down onto the underside of the car and sprayed all the way under the car and onto engine tin where it etched the paint. A couple of thousand to replace and repair the damage.
As the parts/batteries were bought overseas the local dealer could not help (they couldn't supply at the time) but I got a letter from the service manager confirming the battery was defective which I duly sent to the supplier in the US requesting a credit on the batteries only - not the subsequent damage I incurred. They never even acknowledged receipt of the claim - not the first time. I no longer buy from that supplier unless a last resort as they are one of the big ones and have some parts unavailble elsewhere. Business has grown a bit - we have 6 Porsche cars under resto in our shop at the moment. moral of the story - not all genuine Porsche parts are perfect - and some small business's grow and all complaints should be addressed regardless of being a pia on the other side of the world - (never know what you are going to miss out on in the future if you dont).

I have decided to go with the Sonnenschien batteries. Everything I have seen says the 1970 model year had the white type of Moll battery. I am planning to try to make the Sonnenschiens look like the while Molls
