    Wheel/Tire Shop Recommendation-San Diego

    Good Morning guys,

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good tire/wheel shop, a LA's Wheel Enhancement's equivalent perhaps, in the San Diego area? Someone that knows old Porsche wheels, or at least you would trust to mount/balance newly restored Fuchs. Someone that may even know about the correct deep 6 valve stems and may be able to give advice on spacers, or is that too much to ask?

    Thank you in advance.

In case it helps someone down the road, I'll now make the recommendation myself. It's for "C2 Motorsports" in the Kearny Mesa area. (I should have know to just call an OG RGruppe buddy from the start.) Local race gear and vehicle race prep shop. They took extremely good care of my wheels, mounting/balancing them with expertise. Good group of guys, very friendly, who really support the local Auto-Cross community. Plus, they stock their own supply of the appropriate valve stem for deep 6's and 7R's. They know their Fuchs, which was a nice treat.

I understand C2 Motorsports in Kearny Mesa is not in business anymore. Any other wheel experts in SD area that know Fuchs?

Doug- I have Gerry Gutierrez at Discount Tire in Kearny Mesa (corner of Balboa and Genesee) do all my tire work, including my old 911’s with Fuchs wheels. Gerry has been helping the PCA and local P car community for years. He will have his best tech work on your car and they will do it right; just tell Gerry exactly what you want and expect. He’s a good man. Tell him we are pals.
