Instead of the age inevitable reductions in one's movement, one can actually improve it no matter what age. In class it is what I can do, what I can improve that keeps me coming back.

No surprise, they are opening Yoga centers all over Chicagoland. You didn't mention the yoga pants? http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=249483

My massage therapist moves my kneecaps back into place; that really helps my knees.

You are so right! The views are always worth going ... for the most part. A friend who's wife has been going to yoga for years continuously tried to persuade him to go. Finally she showed him some pictures from class. He has been going regularly for several years. He said "Every time things get challenging, I just look around .... And hey, it's a great class".

Veiled voyeurism-motivated workout may not fare well with our new "enlightened" culture of sexual harassment.

Also may prove to be embarrassing while wearing yoga pants.

Good to read that. Cartilage is probably messed up on my knee. Hopefully that is not the cause of a lower back problem, but a few years ago I discovered that the various types of 'Inversion' table being sold today are a nice thing to have around when the back acts up in some manner.

    Fwiw..

So 2 months on, Post #2,, Surgeons were reluctant to pull my knee apart due to the old rebuild my knee had had so they put me on a physiotherapy program from hell accompanied by a swag of acupuncture.

RESULT... knee sounds like a "bucket of bolts" and feels like it is.

Multiple X rays and scans over the last 2 weeks.

In 2 hrs Im to see the specialists / surgeons (yes 2) to be informed of what they have decided to do.

I'm not a great fan of doctors and even lesser so of "going under the knife".

Thought I would post ,,, just nervous I guess.

Mark, in case you're laid up, dejected, or haven't seen this docu-drama, it's sort of inspirational with a knee mishap at the center of it.

    Peruvian climb, some nice scenery:
