mfitton, do you think that the rest of the guys on the forum actually need your help? Do you think they are not capable of reading the description, can look at the photos, and assess if it's a purchase worth pursuing?

I see very few guys make remarks on other posts and frankly it needs to stop. It's unprofessional and uncalled for. Especially since guys, like you, aren't even interested in purchasing the part. It takes the fun out of the community.

To be clear the rest of the guys on here know what they are looking for. We all have cars. We all have had many cars. We have parts. We have books. We all have experience. The majority know what they are doing. We all have good reputations. If someone is a scam artist or doesn't' deliver they get called out and are no longer welcome. We understand the consequences associated with unethical behavior or inaccurate descriptions. Most of us are professionals, serious hobbyists, and want to help each other.

It's my opinion that if you don't have anything good to say about a post...don't. If you have something positive to say then give a guy a bump when complimenting the part. If someone asks for more information because they are unsure that the part will work for their application as they are not as knowledgeable as others THEN offer your input. That is beneficial to the group. But if you are just being a dick, make unnecessary comments publically instead of sending a PM, then you should no longer be able to post on the forum. This should be a rule. Regardless if you have 100 posts or 4349 posts.

99% of everyone on here is awesome. So nice and so helpful. I wish the few would stop hijacking others posts and offering opinions that don't matter. It uncalled for and if we wanted your help or opinion we would ask.

    Sorry for the rant...Thanks.
