    911 with colour 5711

    Hi all,

just very recently I managed to buy a -65 911 and the a-pillar plate indentifies original colour being 5711. I know that it's originally for 356 and the predesessor of blood orange or tangerine. Does anyone know how rare this colour is in early 911 and if someone has photos of a car with such a colour, I'd love to see them.

    Thanks in advance,
    Timo

    Timo,

I'm sure Dave Pateman will chime in but stupid, ultra rare to answer 'how rare' and no one is going to have a photo of a 911 or 912 in 5711.

Is your '65 still painted 5711 or has it been repainted? I'm guessing GP White if so

    Soterik,

just love the part of your signature "If You Are The Smartest Person In The Room, You Are In The Wrong Room..."
Found the one you meant in 912 registry, thanks!

P.S. That 356 looks absolutely stunning in that photo!

    Timo,
It's really one of the prettiest cars out there.... between the fit and finish, engineering, and exterior and interior (beautiful rich tan) color combo... it's all there.

    Carl,
Before you get the salt and pepper, I'm pretty sure that John's 12 was not 5711 to begin with........

5711 is very rare, but probably not the rarest. I do have a COA for a 1967 911S with 5711 (denoted as Orange). I do not have a 912 verified with the color. I would very much like to get a photo of this badge please.
