Great video of mostly normal cars at the Nurbering, but a bunch of 911's barely hang on too!

favorite is the guy on the motorcycle who lost his tank! early 70's with the number of 914?
I have watched that video countless times in the past. I really get a kick out seeing all the crap fly out of those cars. They must enter the track with all of their worldly possessions.
Ciao

Wow!! Apparently no helmets and no seat belts required!! The scariest one was those 4 people in the VW convertible almost going over. Being an old VW guy, watching all those sedans go over really hurts.

1:39 the guy falls out of the car mid crash, unbelievable.
notice that none of the 911's rolled over. they really need to re-bank that turn. Chris

Not surprising almost every Beetle rolled over. I rolled a 67 swing axle on the freeway when I was 18. I was lucky to walk (crawl actually) away. It Landed on its roof so hard it ripped the gas tank out and threw it out of the car. Threw the windshield out, gasket and all about 30 yards. Only time I've ever been piledriven headfirst into the roof of a car. I pray it was the last. Crazy days.
Rolling VWs... Been there done that. 59 sunroof. Driving to a buddies buddies place. He yells, turn right, now!
All I remember is "ground, sky, ground sky" Thank God we didn't loose our heads. Nicks and scratches are all we got.
We landed on some guys lawn, the guy runs out screaming at us, "look what you did to my lawn!".
All VWs after that got camber compensators. Oh, and I learned to drive up the street and flip a u-turn.
Cheers
