    Race helmets ??

My helmet has recently lived out its "date life".

Having been into rallying and Targa's here at home which always require various safety / approval standards met pending on its category, I have always used Open Faced Stilo Trophy's with internal comm's.

Is anyone using one of the Stilo ST5 GT 8869 Carbons , closed face helmets ?? as I am moving in the closed face direction due to the open face being frowned upon on various tracks etc.

I dont race open wheeler so the black is ok or "wrap" it and at 1.3 kg they are light.

    Or alternatives ??

Same weight as the Stilo is the HJC Si-12R, very comfortable on my melon. They offer a full carbon model for a LOT less than the Stilo carbon,
all come with removable/washable interior pads and Hans fitment hardware, and com options. But really, the main issue is fit and comfort so you should try on anything you're considering.

    Open face? Lol.
May be time to upgrade your flip phone as well Mark.

One of my helmets is a Stilo carbon. Fit is great but the built in speaker ear cups deteriorate quickly with lots of use. But it’s nothing maintenance won’t take care of.
