    Best West Coast Car Town

    After almost 55 years in the Pacific Northwest I think the potholes, limited driving season and way too many gray days without sunshine has got the better of me.
    What west coast town is best for driving year round? Prejudicial opinions gladly sought.
    Looking for best combination of ;
    Scenic drives
    Weather
    Sunshine ( Remember my expectations are pretty low given our seven sunny days since October 1st.)
    Access to urban centers within 1-2 hours
    Distance to race tracks-We are down to very few events up here and zero PCA club racing

    Thanks for offerring your opinions

    Dennis

    Sebastopol, Calistoga, or any small town in Sonoma and Napa counties.

    Great driving roads West to Pt Reyes and Stinson Beach and East through the Berryessa foothills. A bit farther North is the Lost Coast; a wonderful drive. South you have the Bay Area.

    Monterey area is great, but Highway 1 is shut down a lot because of slides. I'm partial to Malibu.
