perhaps the parrot 'rode' on the left shoulder while the car went down the 'road'

Has anyone driven a Porsche with a V-8 conversion? What's it like? Not saying I want one, but I'd enjoy tearing around an open muddy field for a day with that.

Good choice of words, 'clone'... Come to think of it, "tribute" wouldn't cut it either.

A perfect example of how to ruin a good car?

I drove a 78 with a hopped up and chipped LS1 motor about 500 hp. It was just FANTASTIC! It handled extremely well but set up to do that. He weighed all parts out and found the LS1 motor set up about 20 lbs. lighter.
It was really fast and fun but then I got a speeding ticket with my 68L with a 2.4S motor and decided against buying it.
