Original 67 DOT Rear reflector set

Rear Bumper Reflector Lens Set with 1967 DOT Markings

Dated for 1967 DOT safety requirements. Correct for 1969 - 1973 Porsche 911.

The reflector lenses have the following markings in raised letters:

    Top:
(Trademark Symbol in a circle) GERMANY
    SAE A 67
    DOT

    Bottom:
    (A in a circle) 5161
    (B in a circle) (478 in a rectangle)
    (E1 in a circle) 21277R3

Reflectors currently sold by Porsche have the 1972 DOT date and are $200 a pair. (SAE A 72)

    Bases have the following markings:

    KL 0220 A
    BOSCH
    901 633 010 00

For a correct restoration or repair, these reflectors are the units to have. The DOT safety regulations were in place before the reflectors were made and installed on the cars. Designs had to be in place well ahead of manufacture to meet the regulations so these are dates corresponding to safety requirements, not date codes indicating when they were manufactured.

Solid driver condition - just need a good cleaning. No cracks in reflectors but one base has hairline crack.

    $275 including mailing.
