I have thought about it but the 915 plate (P260A, 000 721 260 10) is still available from Porsche.
The market may be diminishing since every shop has one and the population of determined DIYers is declining.

Jimmy, I'd like to order the P260 tool. How would you like to handle the transaction?

Interested in your Ball Joint Socket and Holding Plate tools, which I gather would amount to $119.97 plus ship (together) $7.20? Can you confirm numbers along with your PayPal address.

    Thanks,

I've received one of JimmyT's P260 tools and can share that it's a nicely made, accurate replica of the long since NLA factory original. A big THANKS to Jimmy for getting it made!

Maybe... but I also think that with the surprising prices these cars are trading for, it is a lot easier today to justify the expense of a proper rebuild. Ten years ago, dropping several thousand $ to rebuild a 915 in a car that sold for $5,000, meh. Today that car could be worth $100K to $200K depending on model, etc., and $6K for a thorough rebuild of the 915 isn't so far out of line.
