    A very good shop:

The Porsche center of Geneva has also a good reputation.

    Hi Dirk
wise move not to take the straight route.
I could recommend a Hotel on the grande corniche between Nizza and Monaco.
    http://www.ezehermitage.com
Much nicer (and cheaper) than being in Nizza downtown.
Food in the evening is pretty good - breakfast is rather french/italian.
Get a room on the seaside.

Some Cols you might want to take on your way back - but this will ruin your timetable.
