So, it's the mid '60's and I'm cruising Sunset Blvd with my buddies and I see The Breadvan next to me and then blasting down La Cienega...
I couldn't believe my eyes... I had already been sweeping the floors and hang'n out at S&A Italian Auto Repair for a couple of years so I knew what I was look'n at...
So about 35 years later I'm talking to eccentric builder, collector and raconteur Gary Wales and he said that he and his buddy own it for about 1 year and that they were driving it on Sunset back than... What are the odds??? .....Whoa....

Gary is a GREAT story teller and he went on to say that he found the original PROVA (testing) license plate that came on the Breadvan among all his Bentley crap. He found the plate in the late '80's, and he got in touch with and owner at the time and ask if he wanted to buy it. The owner said 'sure!!!' Gary said he sold the PROVA plate for $4k.......
Gary laughed and said that he and his buddy paid about $3800 for the car when I saw it on Sunset.....
.... and so it goes
I believe this is a photo at Gary's house back in the day.........
