WTB: PORSCHE OEM AXLE assemblies for 72 911...

I am looking to purchase a new pair of axles for my 72 911...only interested in those supplied by PORSCHE, not the after-market offerings by LOEBRO through the usual suppliers. Thank you.

Am I off on this? I thought GKN Loebro was and is the OEM axle for Porsche. Is that incorrect?

It does seems to be a confusing issue with suppliers (like Pelican and AASE for two) who list both choices - original PORSCHE and GKN Loebro - with the genuine PORSCHE pieces costing almost double of the GKN Leobro which are readily available. One reviewer on Pelican who purchased the GKN Loebro was less than pleased with the design as they seemingly leak/fling grease which was corroborated by at least one other source I contacted. I can only surmise that they are indeed different pieces because the world-wide stock in the original axles (which I've purchased several times in the past four years for cars I've restored) has evaporated to include Porsche's main parts warehouse in Germany. So much for Porsche Classic Parts program...having NO supply of this rather critical piece does not seem well thought out.
