    hi Frank
I think a 3007xx vin is too low

There were a couple of bali blue ones around the 30073x area but they were all mid to late march dates
I think it is possible that it is 300921 (or close to that). That car is supposed to be bali blue. It is on the record that 300923 is bali blue and was "completed" on 15 April.
Allen Henderson or Dave P may know more.

That said i agree that it is surprising to find a car like this at BHCC without looking like it has been pulled out of a swamp

I agree with Hugh, it is more likely to be in the 900's. However, April did span a wide range of VIN's.

What happened to that rear latch panel?
Except for that and the horrific radio speaker install it appears to be a solid chassis.

Still trying to figure out the CIS. Someone went to a lot of trouble since they used an alu case. (Original?) My guess is they installed a 70.4mm crank and slapped 84mm CIS pistons in there or bored the spigots to accept 90mm 2.7. Or if they were really on a mission, had CIS domed 80mm pistons built. Intriguing. And an utter waste of effort.

@Frank Beck -- the right side of the latch panel looks photoshopped!

Looks like the right quarter panel took a hit. Maybe a t-bone collision. But well above average for a BHCC car that sits around long enough to get on the web site.

Proper Pierburg/Solex setup is what, $15K?
