Front sunroof drain - configuration, mounting brackets, drain tube?

What is the setup for the front sunroof drain from the A pillar down though the body between the fender standoff and the fender? I am restoring a 67s and have to replace from the drains from the tube that comes out of the A pillar to the bottom of the car.

Are there any brackets that the drain hoses mount to? Are the hoses/drains available or is there a suitable replacement? The parts manual shows two parts, connecting tube (rubber?) that connects the pillar drain tube to the second drain tube, that bends around the corner and out to the bottom of the car.

    Thanks for your help.

On my Karmann built '67 the front drain had this exit on the A pillar.

    Thank you.

My car is not a karmann built that I know of. There is no sign of any outlet on the A pillar/door jamb. I think the drain hose/ pipe ran behind that piece and through the floor to the outside below the car.

    Thanks for your help!

The A pillar drain is something I had not seen before. Was there a separate part number for an A pillar that was to be used for a sunroof car? Seems like a lot of work when a simple internal tube would do the job just as well.

There is a drain tube embedded in the A pillar that comes out at the bottom of the A pillar and at the top of the fender joining panel. These were replaced on my car when the body work was done.

Per the parts book, there is a connector short hose (999.181.201.40), then a drain tube, (901.503.583.05 below left, .584. Below right) that is supposed to bend down and go through the floor/rocker to the ground. It seems these parts ( though superseded) are available from Porsche , but I don’t know how they are run and how the are attached to the car. Another gentlemen is planning to send me a picture of his car that should help me.
