Here are some other graphics I have done for Alfas. There were two suppliers of air cleaners for the 105 dual carb cars, Carello and FISPA. I made dry transfers for each. It took a long time to track down the lids so I could scan them and created the graphics.

For some reason, most people cannot tell the difference between the two. There are a few suppliers of peal and stick stickers and they only offer the yellow FISPA brand. I borrowed a couple of lids, canned them and created vector files. I found someone who would make the dry transfers for a very affordable price. Several companies I contacted wanted almost $300 for a single sheet.

The dry transfer is laid on the air cleaner lid and taped in place to keep it from sliding around.

Using a special tool I bought for the sole purpose of applying dry transfers, I began the process of "massaging' the transfer.

In this pictures, the transfer is almost complete. You can see that the graphics are no longer adhering to the transfer medium.
Here is the finished product. It's advisable to clear coat the graphics as they are not durable at all. If these are applied to a trailer queen. I recommend patting the air cleaner when washing and blotting it to dry it off. Any sort of rubbing could cause the transfer to come off. I've had one on my car for almost a year. I've not clear coated it and I've not washed it. It still looks fabulous.
I'm not sure what happened, that last image is not supposed to be there. I'm having technical issues uploading images.

This is what happens if you get in a hurry or if the substrate is too cool.

When things go right, you'll get something like this.

The owner of this car wants a concurs correct car. He's really, really close.

I also had some of these printed as water slide decals. There are several hobbyists out there that provide a printing service. Alps printers and their ink cartridges are no longer in production. Plus, the decal media is really thin and the application is tricky.

If not applied correctly, air can get under the decal and make it look pretty bad.
This fetish with making stickers for Alfa Romeos started shortly after I got my car back on the road after several starts/stops and restarts. No one was making stickers that were right for my car. There are several suppliers of stickers, but none of them really know what they are offering for sale. I've spent three years studying pictures of cars that are for sale and building a database with those images.
After I made the stickers for my car, I branched out a bit and then started offering stickers for Alfas from 1964-1974. It's now a time consuming hobby. I've made a lot of people happy and for me, that's the best reward.
Below are a couple of pictures of my car. That graphics on the air cleaner are dry transfers.

Me and my car in 2016. I still look just as ratty as I have not had a hair cut since the beginning of the year.
