If it wasn't for this thread, I would have had no idea the love some of us have for the original VW's. glad it's not just me.

Don't know about you Rick, but we don't participate in enough VW events, partly because they're not close enough to do as day trips (usually).
Been driving the T34 a lot lately which is good, but miss being among other enthusiasts... obviously not possible for the foreseeable future.

Florida has a couple of the biggest old VW shows in the country... we've only done BulliBrigade twice in the 25+ years we've owned our bus.

It won't be this year ( @ Daytona Historics - thanks Mark!) but next year for sure. Putting it back together is taking me longer than expected. Too many irons in the fire.

As they say, the devil is in the details. Takes a long time to 100% put a painted shell back together. No, I don't attend enough VW events, and Porsche for that matter. We are not getting any younger.

One of my favorite threads. Some great cars. Love seeing these.

Started my driving life w a '67 beetle, had a GTI then a Jetta in 90s. We have a 2018 GTI in the drive now which we let my son has for high school commuting.

    1967 beetle

    Chuck --

Thank you for the thumbs up on the 1967 beetle. This car is original paint. I bought it from an amazing original owner in Eastern Washington. This car was driven by all the children of the family through college. It's still has its original floor in impeccable rust free condition. I am honored to be the next caretaker. Photo is of the original owner and his wife along with their dog.

Cornpanzer -- Here you go. It's just a good reliable little car. Sorry that the car is not clean in these photos.
