Seat inserts definitely, but I would pass on the door cards.

    I also agree....seats only.
Doorcards in tartan get looking too busy in the interior.

    Great looking car.

Thanks for the replies, upholstery shop is backed up until next year, tartan project on hold for now. May just leave seat inserts and door cards as they are - black leather seats and black vinyl door cards.

Al -- always enjoy your enthusiasm for this one, it just seems to get better and better, 15,000 miles under my ownership so far.

Reminds me of the lyrics to Guy Clark's timeless folk song "Stuff That Works".

I got an ol' pair of boots
    And they fit just right
    I can work all day
And I can dance all night
I got an ol' used car
And it runs just like a top
I get the feelin' it ain't
    Ever gonna stop

Stuff that works, stuff that holds up
The kind of stuff you don' hang on the wall
Stuff that' real, stuff you feel
The kind of stuff you reach for when you fall

Car for all seasons - just out driving in the snow, mid 20s so the snowflakes just blew past while driving and of course summer during the Targa CA on Pismo Beach.
