Carrera flares. Cleco temporary fasteners are a pretty slick tool!

Nice. Are you planning on a full backdate on this?

Thanks Steve. Plans are just to backdate this one to 74 Carrera specs. Rear flares, stainless steel mirrors and the smaller 74 style black bumperettes and new light yellow paint will be the bulk of the work this time. Will keep posting progress pictures as it goes along.

Well then here’s some inspiration for you. Are you going to do the earlier RS rear flares like mine or the later SC style ones that Porsche went to after the first less than 200 were made?

Looks like the answer to my question on the flares was right in front of me in your pics. The SC style flares you’re installing look sweet. Wish I had your talent.

Very nice Lime Green 74, definitely an inspiration! Yes, they are Carrera flares, I believe the flares came from an 88 donor body. And .... I wish I had the talent evidenced in the pictures, the car is being completed by the talented craftsmen at S and L Classics. I am the owner and parts chaser.
