    Doors

    HI,

I would appreciate some info on door specs. I belive I have newer than original doors fitted to my 71 911T e.g. they have an internal impact protection beam. I am keen to understand if there would be other differences? I want to make sure that the doors fitted look (when door cards are installed) the same as what would have been fitted at delivery.

    Thanks!!!

Intrusion bar doors will work fine with early cars, I think all the holes are there that you need.

The only issues might be the 4 sets captive nuts on the bottom of the doors for the door pockets as fitted to 69-73 cars so check for them

There are also a couple of circle holes that will need to be welded up if original look is your thing. Also look at the check strap holes, as these are spaced different on some later doors. They will be a pain to put right when hung or painted.

The screws for the latches are bigger starting in '73 , so the holes in the door are bigger . Also the door stop area is different on intrusion bar doors . These are 2 "tells" if you are putting newer doors on an older car .
