    Correct blower hoses?

Hey guys, I need some help to determine which hose colors are correct for the front blower system and also the rear fan to heat exchanger inlets on my 72T coupe. The dirty brown hose in the pic was going from the vent housing through the dash to the rocker originally so I believe that is correct there. Is the grey hose between the vent and housing correct or should it be tan as well? Which color is correct in the rear from the fan outlets to the heat exchanger inlets? All of those hoses are a generic paper product dating back from the late 50s. It is produced in various diameters, and most importantly to quash some urban myth....

IT IS NOT BROWN! It turns brown with age, and when new is a dark grey/black. The larger diameter commonly on the shroud to heater box in the engine compartment has been superseded by Porsche with a shiny black plastic corrugated hose......probably better but not as original.

Sierra Madre has had the correct paper hose if you ask specifically for it...don't know if they still have it. Stoddard has had some of the smaller diameters in the past.

A new, to the Porsche community, supplier has just announced they have the correct paper stuff in various diameters...Newco Products. They are well known in the Ferrari community, and are also a seller of Cohline products.

So it's grey/black new and turns brown with age!

Not going to argue the statements made but I'll post a couple photos of NOS hoses I bought over the years while researching this question. I also have period color photos of cars in assembly to support the to notion these did change over the years and came in 3 flavors; tan, dark brown, black.
Agreed they fade and change over time.
Porsche was famous for making undocumented changes as the sub-suppliers made material changes during production runs; white vs black plastic, tan vs black paper etc.... I'd say put on what you want but an early 70s car most likely has tan from my experiences with several very original cars of this vintage

I agree with the tan in the front, all the hoses I've collected from parts cars were tan in in front. In the engine bay I'd say more like the hoses in the left picture. Time to dig thru period photos again.

Are those heater hoses pictured above 60 mm ID? That’s what I recall and assume so as that’s what Newco offers on their website. And, is the blower hose the same size diameter? Looks good! Thx.

Yes, that is the 60mm hose, it should be the same for the front as well. I ordered 3 feet for the 2 hoses on the engine.
