    Making Plug Wires

I am thinking of possibly making a set of plug wires for my 1973 911S. What wire would you recommend I use?

    Thanks!

Depends on the ignition but this too is a much debated topic. Usually, spiral wound "glass" for MSD and solid core for CDI.

While making wires isn't hard I usually "take the path of least resistance" (pun intended) and go to one of our fine vendors.

Kurt Donohoe @Partsklassik has done enough research into wire type and resistance to have earned a PhD by now. He "tunes" wires and ignitions like an Italian mechanic on a Colombo Ferrari 12 engine.

NAPA solid core. Recommended by Jerry Woods. Cheap Have made several sets, and all cars running perfectly.

Just because one can doesn't mean one should. Put a realistic value on your time spent sourcing components and in assembly. Better to purchase a completed set of wires.

What would you recommend as a good quality and value?
