Thread: FS: 911R Brake support (Caliper carrier), front, 901.351.410.03

  1. #1

FS: 911R Brake support (Caliper carrier), front, 901.351.410.03

    These brackets replace:
    WET '67 911R Fig 6/1, #05 901.351.410.03 Brake support, front Qty: 2

Which in turn replaced the stock 911 part:
PET '68 911 Fig 6-02-00, #05 901.351.411.13 Calliper (sic) carrier Qty: 2 NLA, but last list price was $107.00

The R part has 3.0" caliper mounting bolt spacing and requires R calipers (901.351.057.20, 901.351.058.20). The upgraded version of the bracket is lighter and has 3.5" caliper mounting bolt spacing to allow the use of '69- 911S aluminum calipers or '76- cast iron A calipers. In keeping with their sporting heritage, neither of these versions have a provision for brake backing plates (#09). Due to the various hubs, rim widths and handbuilt nature of the bodies, it may be necessary to use thin wheel spacers to provide either caliper-wheel or tire-front inner fender clearance. I can provide these parts if desired.

    Material: Aluminum, 7075-T6
    Finish: Ra 12µm (As machined)
    Anodized, Type III (Hard, clear)
    Weight, 3.0" spacing: 223.53 grams
    Weight, 3.5" spacing: 217.67 grams

Both versions require the same rotor:
    PET '65-'69 911 Fig 6-02-05, #01) 901.351.041.16 Brake disc, vented, '68-, 20.5x282.5 Qty: 2

    New fasteners are provided:
4, Hex bolt, M10x25, steel, 10.9 (bracket to strut)
2, Tab washer, M10, steel (bracket to strut)
2, Hex bolt, M12x1.5x30, steel, 12.9 (caliper to bracket)
2, Spring washer, B12, steel (for caliper bolts)

    The kit does not include:
    PET '68 911 Fig 6-02-00, #07 901.351.481.11 Lock washer (Tabbed) Qty: 4 Qty: 2 PCNA List 2018: $14.52

The price is $95.12 for either 3.0" R or 3.5" S-caliper carriers ($95.12 per wheel or $190.24 per axle set).
Shipping within the US is by USPS Priority Mail ($8.45).

Fantastic work as usual. I would like to order a set of the 3.0" R spec carriers. Will probably never find a set of R front calipers, but nice to have

    Thanks Jimmy
