    These look like '69 - '70 . '71's have a lever on top of the hinge to release and tilt forward .

    Hmm don't think that is correct.

    I thought the lever kicked in in 1972 when the recliner changed to black crinkle paint finish

    I think Richy's correct. Pretty sure my '71 has the lever on top of the recliner.

    Found some pics of a super original low mileage USA 71T I owned back in the early 2000's

    Clearly shows the lever on the recliner Richy was aluding too which confirms the 69-70 seat decision.

    You would think I may have remembered that

    Those are 69/70 seats. 71s have the trigger at the top of the hinge and can be the large one shown in the last picture
    or the smaller one like the one on 72/73 seats depending when they were manufactured.
